7 Benefits Showing Why Education Is Important to Our Society

The importance of education cannot be overstated. Educated people are more likely to be involved in community projects, solve local problems, and lend a hand to those who are less fortunate. There are many benefits to education that can’t be summed up in one article. But the following are just a few:

Increasing school enrollments and attaining universal primary education is critical. Globally, there are 72 million children who are not enrolled in school and 759 million adults who are illiterate. The consequences of this situation can be severe. Children from poor backgrounds often leave school early, often due to poor health or because they need to work to help their families. Many states in developing countries do not have enough resources to build schools and recruit teachers.

Increasing access to education is a major goal in the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. The UN is looking to raise women’s educational levels by 2030 and reduce world population by half by that time. In addition, education improves a person’s ability to assimilate information, calculate risks, and prepare for climate crises.
